Bee the Cattle Dog Books is a small, independent picture-book publisher – just two people (H Young and Jess Lamb) and a very good dog. This page explains, in plain language, what happens on this website.

What this site collects

Just by visiting: nothing beyond the ordinary server logs any web host keeps. This site does not run analytics or tracking scripts.

If you sign up for email updates: we store the first name and email address you enter, plus your IP address, in a database we run ourselves – not a third-party mailing platform. The IP address is kept only to prevent spammy or automated sign-ups; it isn't used for anything else. There isn't an active newsletter yet – signing up simply adds you to the list for when there is, and nothing is currently sent to you or shared with anyone. If we start sending real email through an email service provider, we'll name that provider here, and it will only use your information to deliver our messages.

This site is written for parents and caregivers. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
